Spider-Man 2026 Hype Reel — Built in Code
A Scroll-Controlled Cinematic Tribute to Spider-Man
The problem worth engineering
Driven by pure hype for the Spider-Man 2026 movie, this project reimagines a movie trailer as an interactive, scroll-controlled cinematic experience. Built entirely from scratch with GSAP, Lenis, ScrollTrigger, and SplitText, it features 221 meticulously timed animation frames.
As users scroll, they control the pace of the action — from bold text reveals worthy of a Marvel title card to dynamic scaling effects that feel like elements are leaping out of the multiverse. The entire sequence is engineered for buttery-smooth performance, ensuring no frame is dropped, even during heavy animation sequences.
- Implemented frame-by-frame GSAP animations for precise, cinematic-level motion control.
- Used Lenis for ultra-smooth scrolling, synchronizing animation playback with scroll position.
- Applied SplitText for dramatic, blockbusting title reveals.
